A Fan of drunk Monkey Studio and an Interesting Opinion On Cajun Culture

I had a chance to visit your site and I am simply taken with the monkey’s. The
work is awsome. I am a 3rd generation Texas Cajun and have visited NO often. I
found your insight of the “drinking” culture simply fascinating. These monkeys
could be members of my family. I come from a long line of hard drinking,
alcoholics.

I have a son who is a research biologist and he has an interesting opinion of
the Cajun culture. He has commented that the mix of genes is so volitale and
self destructive, few gene pools in the universe approach it. The “drunken” ego
destroys so much of the “genius” thinking of the Cajun it seems sad to
‘outsiders.” However, it is exactly that, the drinking and cavalier regard for
the “morning after” that keeps us all laughing and the “will” of the Cajun alive
and functioning. You have precisely captured that in your work. What a gift to
have found your work. In short, Well Done!

Man oh man, the kiln is full and I am no where’s near finished sculpting all the pieces I plan on making for the next 2 shows. I still need to make 16 pieces. Looks like I will be bisc firing 3 times this go round. It’s going to be a nightmare glazing all this stuff.
